At Harmony Place, we are committed to helping our clients develop an individualized treatment plan to reach their sobriety goals. Addiction brings chaos to everyday life, and it can be hard to know what kind of treatment is needed to return to a sober and peaceful life. With so many options, from inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization treatment, and outpatient programs, it is challenging to know what kind of care is necessary for you or your loved one. Learn more about the San Diego outpatient rehab options at Harmony Place.
Our team at Harmony Place is here to help guide you through the process and help you understand what level of care is the best fit for your needs. Outpatient care serves as either a step in the journey or standalone care. For the right individual, this is an important step in the journey to recovery.
Outpatient vs. Inpatient Rehab
Unlike inpatient treatment, those who participate in outpatient rehab do not require 24/7 supervision, and return at home at night to sleep. Depending on the level of care, participants will return to the facility multiple times per week for treatment that includes life skill development, coping skill development, and more.
Some people believe that inpatient rehab is always necessary to reach sobriety, but that is certainly not the case. In many instances, those suffering from addiction realize the damage it is causing before their substance abuse reaches a medically dangerous stage and seek immediate treatment. Oftentimes in these situations, detoxification and medication-assisted treatment are not necessary, so outpatient treatment is more than sufficient to treat substance use disorders.
Outpatient care is the lowest level of care within our drug and alcohol treatment programs, with programs that generally occur twice per week, which is slightly less rigorous than the intensive outpatient program. We have an experienced team of experts on staff who are ready to help you or your loved one determine an individualized treatment plan that caters to each specific treatment need, and help you determine if this outpatient level of care is right for you.
Understanding the Process: Outpatient Rehab Near San Diego
Alcohol and drug addiction bring discord to everyday life, but, thankfully, many of our patients have supportive, sober environments they can return home to each night after receiving outpatient care. If that is the case, we support the decision to stay in your own home during your time at our treatment center.
If you aren’t local to the area, there are many temporary housing options available to you nearby. However, we strongly encourage our clients to look into our transitional living accommodations, located close to the treatment center. Transitional living ensures a safe, sober, and comfortable environment to encourage a focus on sobriety. Our high-end accommodations are spacious and comfortable so that those residing there can focus solely on healing the mind, body, and spirit during the transition to outpatient care.
Mental Health Services
Mental health treatment is the cornerstone of addiction care at Harmony Place, whether you are in residential or outpatient treatment. We offer traditional mental health treatment programs such as individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and support groups to help our clients address all mental health concerns that occur as a result of their addiction.
Each outpatient client receives a minimum of two individual therapy sessions every week with one of our licensed therapists to explore the roadblocks to recovery and how to move past them. Beyond that, group and family therapy explore the more emotional aspects of addiction and how to transition back to everyday life. Our team of mental health experts helps clients work through even the most sensitive features of substance abuse disorders to bring a new sense of peace into each patient’s recovery journey.
