This place quite literally saved my life. The house is welcoming and comfortable, as is the staff. They’ve become an extended family to me. The food, prepared by the private chef is top-notch, and the weekend outings are incredibly fun. The group offerings are diverse, incredibly therapeutic, and well-balanced. Shout out to Andy and Chuy — dopest group leaders. All of the therapists are fantastic. I’m especially fond of Jenn, the best therapist I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I worked with Nelson while we were trying to get my son into harmony place. He was so knowledgeable, caring, professional, and most of all supportive while dealing with the process of the insurance part. He checked up on my son and I almost everyday and offered his support as much as he could over the phone. Without him we would have been lost figuring out everything. Meeting the staff also put my husband and I at ease knowing our son was in good hands. I can’t wait to see how much our son will grow in this program.

This place is remarkable in any and every respect I can conceive of. I have to say, right off the bat, because it is so extraordinary, that the food there is as good as any you’ll have anywhere. Their chef is not only incredibly skilled, but the quality of the food itself, the quantity, The variety of food, each and every day– breakfast lunch, and dinner, is absolutely wonderful. I understand that’s probably not the first concern for someone looking for help, but it is the thing I most remember about the place, and it was very nice to look forward to those meals which automatically buffers the intensity of the anxieties or physical maladies or any other problem one might be experiencing. If the food there was no good, the entire experience would be blown. If you’re in the throes of detoxification, it would be horrible to have bad food.

As for the Care, I’m not sure what to say. Without exception, every single person I spoke or dealt with, or was helped by, or counseled by, was as good or better than any I’ve ever seen in “real life”. I’ve had many Sessions with psychologists, counselors, psychiatrist, and none compared to the counselor I had at Harmony Place. In fact, that was probably the best part. My counselor. She was, in an overused word, awesome. I got something from every single meeting, I still have my journals, and I will keep them forever.

The The days flew past much faster than I expected, I think in part because of the other patients I had around me were also just wonderful to live with and talk to. I’m sure that they get a “challenging” guest at Harmony Place sometimes, , but I didn’t see that, not in any sense. In fact, I met a man there with whom I will have a good and fulfilling relationship for the rest of my life.

If you need help, as I so did, reach out to Harmony Place. They’ll take very good care of you. I was just beyond an extremely difficult divorce, I had just lost my son to suicide, so I got the “f&$k its” as it is sometimes called, so I was there detoxing at first off of methadone, alcohol, and benzodiazepines and a whole bunch of sugar all at once. I won’t say it wasn’t difficult, you can’t go through that with some level of pain, but to be quite honest, the discomfort was relatively mild. They got me on the perfect cocktail of medications that kept my symptoms at bay, and it was much, much easier than I expected. I was dreading horribly the seven days of pure misery, and what I had was about four days of mild discomfort.

I’m telling you, you don’t even have to look around.

I am amazed on how great this facility is. I have been to many rehabs and this beats all of them. The CEO is so amazing. Truly one of the kindest souls I’ll ever meet. I truly am grateful for EVERYONE there at H.P. What amazed me was how dedicated he is to the clients and his staff. They will do anything and everything for you, as long as you do the work. They always make you feel safe and if you don’t, they will quickly do so. Honestly, I don’t think there is any other rehab like this. I was supposed to only stay for a couple weeks and it ended up doing the full 30 days and honestly I wish I could of stayed longer. The therapist that I had (Haleh) was amazing. She helped me through a lot. She was constantly was checking up on me. Which meant the world to me. While I was there I had 3 very close people pass away within a 2 week period. Both of my grandmothers and 1 friend who OD’d. If it weren’t for me being there and the support they and the fellow piers gave me, I’d still be loaded today and on the streets. SO, if you or your loved one is looking for a comfortable, encouraging, caring, loving rehab center. This is it! I will for always be grateful for this facility and their IOP is amazing as well! Best of wishes to your sobriety!

I owe my life to Harmony Place. I was struggling with addiction for years and didn’t think there was any way out. I checked into Harmony and got the help I desperately needed. It’s mixed (male and female) with about 12-14 beds. Extremely comfortable. They have numerous group sessions throughout the day that are beneficial for everyone. They also have a great network of sober livings and outpatient programs so you can continue your recovery and stay connected once you discharge.

I Have a Life Beyond My Wildest Dreams

I have attended an IOP3 program in January of 2018. After about a month I left, thinking I was “cured”. Needless to say, I didn’t remain sober very long. I had relapsed and was off to races. It wasn’t long until my life had become a mess and everything felt hopeless. Around November of 2018, Alma had called me out of the blue to do a wellness check. She offered for me to come in and I agreed. I went into the PHP program terrified, but I knew I had to make a change. This Place Literally Saved My Life

This place literally saved my life. After overdosing, my parents forced me to check into rehab… After interviewing many other facilities, I decided to go to Harmony Place from my home in Phoenix. I was struggling with…a drug addiction and had been trying for years to recover. In the past, left 2 treatment centers AMA and 1 AWOL. I had very negative experiences in the other treatment facilities, especially with my therapists, so I didn’t go in with an open mind or good attitude- even though they worked with my parents regarding finances. However, the staff was patient with me. The techs were kind, knowledgeable, and many were in recovery themselves. If I was having a particularly tough day, they made sure to talk to me and help me get through it…the groups were also pretty helpful, especially relapse prevention. I came in hating Alcoholics Anonymous and the staff was okay about it and didn’t shove it down my throat. They helped me identify my triggers and why I use. I’ve never completed treatment anywhere, until I came here. I have 2 years sober today, and it started at Harmony Place. I sound like I work for them, but I don’t- I’m just so grateful for what they did for me. And I get it if a past client is angry and wrote a horrible review- I used to be really angry, too. I Will Be Forever Grateful

I have been struggling with alcoholism since my early twenties and have been through a multitude of treatment programs, outpatient programs, and medical detoxes. I have historically been a chronic relapser and truly believed that there was little hope in my case for long-term sobriety. I arrived at Harmony Place in 2014 fully expecting to go through “just another treatment program,” and was skeptical and discouraged. Why would this place be any different from the others? Harmony Place IS different and has given me the foundation for living a (sober) life that I, for the longest time, believed was far beyond my reach. There is something extraordinary about the treatment team and the program/environment that they have created. Every single staff member is personally invested in the recovery of each…who walks through the door. Their personal and professional experience with addiction is extensive, and their dedication to helping each client successfully through…recovery at Harmony and beyond is, in my experience, unparalleled. Each person there will be your staunchest advocate, yet will push you to both challenge and be brutally honest with yourself about your situation, whatever it may be. I’ve Been Searching for the Perfect Words…And Still Can’t Find Them

I left Harmony Place in August of 2015 and I have been searching for the perfect words to describe my experience during my stay; and still I can’t really find them. How do you really describe a place with a staff and a program that saved you? Addiction is a terrible thing to go through and a heart breaking thing for your loved ones to watch. Many people, including myself go into different treatment centers throughout their addiction searching for ways to find recovery. Nothing worked for me, not the 5 rehab stays I had, then, I came here. I was hesitant to receive any kind of real help at first, and the staff knew that. I thought I could BS my way through this treatment center like I did with all the other ones. Annnnnnnd I was wrong. God I was wrong…they didn’t force the program down my throat, they didn’t force their treatment plans down my throat, they were patient, and kind. Which to me, was really surprising since I had been surrounded by well, not the best crowd before I walked through those…doors. They listened to me. My fears, concerns, my stories (yes, even the stupid ones). They treated me like a human, like I was normal. Like there was nothing wrong with me. And that was really beautiful. Especially because I believed during that time, that everything was wrong with me. They saw my potential when I couldn’t.

And now??? I’ll have two years clean on June 30th. I work a full time job (40 hours a week and them some) with full benefits! Me! Sure, a lot of the work, staying clean, that was my decision and has been through out these last two years, but; they gave me the stepping stones, they held my hand in the beginning and never let go. A part of my heart will always be with them and I will always be grateful for all the love they gave me during one of the hardest times of my life. I love you guys with every inch of my heart. My daughter was in several treatment centers and when she relapsed this last time we were desperate and frightened for her. My husband and I decided to try again and but this time we were looking for a center with a different approach than the centers she had already been in. He Saves So Many Lives

Aww I miss Jeff he is an amazing man. He saves so many lives. He actually took me to get glasses while I was there. Took me to my appointment and all. I miss everyone there and the place too. I had very good experience at Harmony Place From first day I came, staff was very kind and make me feel welcome and safe. Everyone was friendly and always try to help me. The therapists are very good and caring. They listen to me and help me understand my problems better. I learn many things from them and feel stronger because of their support. The nurses also very nice and professional. They always check on me and make sure I am okay. Food was good and facilities were clean and comfortable. It help me feel more relaxed and focus on my recovery. Management also doing very good job. Everything was organized and you can see they really care about patients. If you want to detox painlessly this is the place! The staff is A1. They truly care about us. The groups are awesome . Residential is crazy awesome! You live in a mansion. With a private chef who makes the best food. Community meeting that gets results fast, they care about your opinions. Pool and Jacuzzi are beautiful. I’ve been to 4 treatment centers before Harmony Place, and I can tell you without a single doubt that this is the absolute best by FAR. The past ones were luxury Residential Treatment centers that just treated every single client the same not tailoring to each individual, and were basically just in it for the money, dropping the ball each time. I can also tell you that I’ve never met the CEOs, but here, David comes to the facility almost every single day, and makes sure he get to know every individual here. He is incredibly kind, and was even willing to transfer me to another facility with a higher level of trauma therapy due to me having a lifetime of trauma and PTSD that just is going to take a long time to tackle. He truly cares about all of the clients having all of the tools that we need before getting released to the real world. No more of other CEO would ever be willing to miss an opportunity at making more money and even paired with my IMPECCABLE case manager to find a different facility that was more trauma based. My case manager, Sam, goes absolutely above and beyond in every single aspect. She makes sure you have a smooth transition into aftercare, provides out of this world advice when it comes to sobriety, and takes the time out of her day to make sure that FMLA and short-term disability are completely taken care of during your stay. I’ve never met a case manager that could ever compare to Sam. Ever. I feel lucky to have met her, genuinely. Marissa, my therapist, is SO SWEET, actually listens to you, and provides advice and therapy tailored to each individual’s experience. She’s handled every mood I’ve been in, never judged me, and allowed me to feel safe enough to tell her things I’ve never told any person or therapist in my 29 years of life. I’ve been going to therapy for the past 15 years, and none of those therapists even come close to how amazing she is. I’ve been to 4 other treatment centers in my life and none even come close to Harmony Place. The facility is clean, organized, and high-end. Where to begin.. Harmony is a place that will forever be a part of my story as the first step in my recovery journey. I’m so grateful for this program. The staff is very friendly, and many of them understand what addiction is like, for they themselves have recovery stories of their own. They have an awesome team of therapists, group facilitators, nurses, RA technicians, medical and health professionals, a wonderful case manager for aftercare that cares deeply for your next steps; making sure you are set up for success. They have a wonderful admissions team (shoutout to Marielle who was so kind and understanding of my messed up situation). Everyone is very relatable and friendly. They invest heavily in the importance of diet and nutrition too - there’s a full time professional chef. I gained all the weight I lost and wanted back in the first two weeks lol. On top of the intensive programming they do throughout the day, they take us out to experience various kinds of outside groups to get a taste of the real world, and also take us on social outings during the weekend. If you’re serious about getting better this place will meet you where you’re at and prepare you to launch with a renewed mind and heart.

I can't begin to explain just how amazing Harmony Place is. In fact, when we sit down with the owner, Jeff, and clinical director, David, on Monday mornings to have a house meeting, they ask us what they could be doing better. A bigger blender for smoothies is the ONLY thing we could come up with. Let me begin by addressing some negative reviews. If you notice many of them are from people, or are referring to people who have been asked to leave. It is because of harmony places protection of their clients that provide ideal conditions for healing and progress. There is a screening process that it is implemented where they make sure the clients they admit are ready to start a life of sobriety. Some people slip through the cracks. Some people find out a few days or weeks in that they've changed their minds. Some are inappropriate and break rules. It happens. When Harmony Place ask people to leave, It's because they are protecting the people who are here that want treatment. In effect, they're providing exactly what I needed for a genuine start to recovery. When I began my search for a treatment center, my requirements were that the facility's provide an environment in which its residents all want to be there and that it is ethically ran. I got that and so much more at Harmony Place. As well as a structured routine, they also provide a confidential and nurturing environment where one feels safe and where profound healing can begin. Their program offers a sound foundation where further progress in sober living is almost guaranteed. In group meetings, we enjoy getting to know ourselves again and with deeper understanding about why we are the way we are. We are provided with skills to handle real life. Its here that I've come to understand that its not addiction that has driven me to make a mess of my life. It is the trauma that I endured and not processing it correctly that lead to poor thinking patterns that opened the door to addiction resulting in poor life management. So we start at the bottom. Trauma. They help us understand that trauma has led to our own toxicity, what that trauma looks like and how to get out of our own way. Process groups help us learn how to take accountability and foster healthier relationships. I learned here that changing the way I think is absolutely possible and imperative to the healing process. Harmony Place offered me hope when I previously felt I was unfixable and a support team that truly loves me. Even after I leave here, I have contacts that almost demand I keep in touch and an alumni meeting where I can return to the facility on Thursday nights. I wasn't a 12 stepper when I came here but my first experience with it was not one where I was ready to stop using. I understand now that the steps will work for me. It's certainly is not the only modality that they teach. In one group, we are provided an opportunity to sit with a recently retired medical doctor to just ask questions. Another is with a nutritionist. There are a handful of people IN recovery that come to lead groups that are all accredited highly specialized where I felt understood and not judged. The knowledge I have gained here is life changing. It is also versatile and relatable for all types of people. my favorite group was dialectical behavioral therapy. There are breathing classes and sound bath groups and I started doing yoga in the morning. There's a dharma meeting they take you offsite that focuses on Buddhist values. A fantastic onsight chef provides three meals and you can have special requests. We facilitated our own Movie nights during free time. I cant forget to mention you get your own one on one meetings with your assigned primary therapist and there is comprehensive medical support complete with 24/7 nurses and a doctor that shows up throughout the week. If this is what you need to recover and you have mediCAL, cancel your mediCAL and get insurance Harmony Place accepts if you can. There are people to help you with that as well. Just call. This is such an amazing place truly changed my life.
